Our Constitution

The Crows M CC Constitution 

   1. Name:- The name of the Club shall be “The Crows M CC ” hereafter referred to as ‘the club’.1.1.

 Headquarters and address of the club:

- The headquarters of the club will be determined from time to timedepending on the needs of the club.

Interim address:

41 Feige street SareptaKuils River3.

Objectives:

- The objectives of the club will be to:

- Ride as much as possible;

- Socialize, not just as a club, but as friends;

- Participate in biker charity rides;

-Host our own annual charity event;

- Demonstrate the biking community to be good citizens;

- Respect each other and their property, and

- All members to have a good time at all times.

4. Powers:

- All decisions made are subject to the majority of members, with voting rights, being present at a general meeting.

5. Membership:

- A member will be deemed as a person (no age limit) who wears theclub’s colours.

- A full member will be deemed as a person with full colours and overthe age of 18.

- Only full members will be entitled to vote at general club meetings.

- Applicants/prospects will undergo a three-month get-to-know period.This period will ensure that the committee makes a fair and justdecision.

- After the three-month period, such person/s will receive their ½colours and undergo a further three-month appy

-ship period for thecommittee to decide if the member is worthy of carrying the club’sname.

- Colours have to be returned to the club immediately after resignation /dismissal.

      6. Finaces:

- The amount of R200 for the colours is payable upfront and is non refundable.

- Club fees amount to R25,00 per month per member, committeemember and ½ colour member.

- New applicants / prospects to pay ½ membership fees.

- The income of the club will be used solely for the pursuit of the club’sobjectives.

- No refunds if club is left.

7. Application for membership:

- No application forms. New members must be introduced by existing full members only.

- Members will have full power to accept or decline an application without having to disclose any reason regarding its decision.

- Applicants/prospects will undergo a three-month get-to-know period.This period will ensure that the committee makes a fair and just decision.

- After the three-month period, such person/s will receive their ½ colours and undergo a further three-month appy-ship period for the committee to decide if the member is worthy of carrying the club’s name.

8. Reprimand; Expulsion or Suspension of a member:

- This will be determined by a majority vote of all the full members.

- On receiving a complaint against any member/s, a special meeting will be called to discuss if the conduct of such member/s has been harmful, prejudicial or without the good interest of the club at heart, the members will then have power to:

o Reprimand such member/s in writing or verbal (sentence tobe decided).

o Suspend such member/s from all privileges of membership for a period to be decided depending on the severity of incident, but not expel.

o A member who has been suspended will not be entitled to a fund of any fees or subscription paid or due to him.

o Expel such member who will thereafter be banned from all privileges of the club.

o Total banning / dismissal of a member/s / appy can be doneby signing a petition representing a minimum of 90% of club votes in favour of immediate dismissal, resulting in removal of colours. 

     9. Management committee

- The management and control of the club will consist of:- President- Chairman- Treasurer- Members (Making up the largest part of the club)

10. Vacancy:- A committee member’s seat will fall vacant if:

- Dies;- Resigns; or- The members vote him/her out.

11. Meetings:

- Meetings will take place once a month;

- Notice will be given of date of meeting timeously;

- Committee meetings will be void if less than 50% of members are not available.

12. Amendment of constitution:

- No alterations, amendment or addition to this constitution will be made except:

- At meetings put forward by a full member and voted in favor ofthe majority of full members.

13. Committee:

- President- Chair person- Treasurer

14. Members:

- Club register available with President, Chairman and treasurer.- Club register to be updated regularly.

15. Disbandment:

- On disbandment of the club, all club assets will be divided equally between all current members / ½members and appies.
